What do I do if my bread collapses on its own on the first rise?

12 to 20 hours is far too long. In a warm room it should only take about 2 hours. After beating it down let it rise again in the baking tin and as soon as it is risen again about 1 - 2 hours bake it in a hot oven for about 30 minutes.
