Tiny bump on gum? Can it be a cancer?

My sister had something like that it was squishy and would get REALLY big. If it is the same thing it is not dangerous. She went to the dentist and when she got her wisdom teeth out they cut it off. I think it is called a mucus cyst or mucus bubble.
