The only way you can be sure you don't have any air leaks would be to air it up good and then submerge each section under water and look for air bubbles. Some air escapeage is common over time, but it sounds like your problem may be a little more than normal. Good luck. You can get vinyl repair kits at many of the hardware stores if you decide that's what you need.
